Dr. Barton was awarded the Early Career Research Development Grant for $150,000 over two years. He will work on his project titled, "Blood-brain barrier dysfunction in mild traumatic brain injury" at the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Salhi was awarded the Early Career Research Development Grant for $150,000 over two years, starting in 2023. She continues to work on her project titled, "Accuracy and reliability of race and ethnicity in the Emergency Department: Brief encounters with broad impact" at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Ashburn was awarded the Pilot Research Grant for $100,000 over one year. He will work on his project titled, "Chest Pain and ASCVD Risk Stratification in a Multisite Emergency Department Cohort (CHARISMA)" at Wake Forest University.

Dr. Greineder was awarded the Pilot Research Grant for $100,000 over one year. He will work on his project titled, "Unraveling molecular mechanisms of cerebral edema after TBI using non-invasive, brain cell type specific gene silencing" at the University of Michigan Medical School.

Dr. Renny was awarded the Pilot Research Grant Award for $100,000 over one year. She will work on her project titled, "Adapting an Emergency Department Intervention to Support Linkage to Care for Youth with Substance Use" at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Dr. Raymond-King was awarded the EMF/EMRA Resident Research Grant for $10,000 over one year. She will work on her project titled, "Racial and ethnic differences in establishment of “Do Not Attempt Resuscitation” orders among patients resuscitated from cardiac arrest" at Yale University.

Dr. Muraglia was awarded the EMF/EMRA Resident Research Grant for $10,000 over one year. She will work on her project titled, "Adverse effects of adjuvant heat treatment for catheter salvage in central line associated bloodstream infection” at the University of Michigan.

Ms. Camp was awarded the EMF/SAEMF Medical Student Research Grant for $3,500 over one year. She will work on her project titled, "Biomarkers Predicting Functional Outcomes In Patients With Ischemic Stroke Requiring Thrombectomy" at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.

She will work on her project titled, "Emergency Department (ED) Vaccination Surveillance: Novel Assessment of Age-Group Recommended Vaccines in Undocumented Latino Immigrants” at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine.

She will work on her project titled, "Functional and Cognitive Outcomes and Recovery after Emergency Department Visits among Older Adults with Dementia (FACTOR-ED)" at Stanford University.

He will work on his project titled, "Feasibility of a stakeholder-informed sleep hygiene intervention for persons living with dementia in the Emergency Department (SLEEP-ED)" at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
