EMF/EMAF Emergency Clinical Work Intensity Grant
Deadline May 4, 2018

The Emergency Medicine Foundation (EMF) and the Emergency Medicine Action Fund (EMAF) are partnering to fund a new grant opportunity. The Emergency Clinical Work Intensity Grant is intended to achieve greater understanding of the change in the intensity of work, as described by the Medicare RBRVS system (i.e. relative value units), performed by emergency physicians over the past 10-15 years. Specifically, the goals of this grant are to support investigation of such issues as community disease burden, national payment policy, information technology, available outpatient and hospital resources, patient expectations, clinical or co-morbid conditions, and the impact on the intensity work done by emergency physicians.

This grant project is fast-tracked with a completion date of December 31, 2018.
